Past Work
I first met Eddy in 1988. His work at that time was already fast approaching the vortical maelstrom pitch he would soon achieve while we worked together at Tattoo City in the early nineties. Piece by piece, mark by mark, Eddy's tattooing mutated into a gruesome trompe l'oeil
of neon-chrome ruinscapes , chitinous magma crusts unroiling in elemental purgations, in power-hells of turbulent effluvia bearing monstrous blood-constructions of ridiculous & violent beast-forms thrashing in wasted technicolor muck. Frenzies frozen in time on skin.
Fields of continuous pigmentation knitting an obliterating screen of dynamic texture that blurs subject and background & thus, embroidered pelts of luxurious Sci-Fi gore. Eddy's customers, true collaborators, whose tattoos you see photographed in this book, at times withstood sessions of long duration so that this work might be accomplished. For
them a fair sacrifice to acquire these tapestries of fury.
